Description
This quarter is all about division–specifically, using division to compare numbers. You will start with solving equations and inequalities, and then you will change gears and focus on division: ratios, rates, proportions, slope, and direct variation. Through the first six weeks of the quarter, you will complete assignments (drills), activities (real-world applications), and class discussions. In the last week you will work on your final project, in which you will look at the policies of Olympic sprinting and whether or not you believe they’re fair. The main goal of this quarter is for you to be able to use division to compare numbers, and interpret your results.
