Prerequisite: Algebra 1A & 1B, Geometry A & B or Integrated Math 1AB & 2 AB

Syllabus A Description:Algebra 2A is the first course in a two semester sequence of Algebra 2. This course will prepare you for PreCalculus and Statistics. In Algebra 2 you will add to your bank of function knowledge by further investigating quadratic functions and expanding to cubic, exponential, rational and higher order polynomial functions. You will learn additional techniques for solving equations of various degrees, including square root equations. Plus, you will expand on your linear function knowledge from Algebra I with the application of linear programming. As you progress through the topics, be sure to review your Algebra 1 prerequisite knowledge of linear functions, factoring and solving equations of up to degree two.

Syllabus B Description:Algebra 2B is the 2nd course in a two semester sequence of Algebra 2. This course will prepare you for Precalculus and Statistics. In Algebra 2 you will add to your bank of function knowledge by further investigating quadratic functions and expanding to cubic, exponential, rational and higher order polynomial functions. You will learn additional techniques for solving equations of various degrees, including square root equations.
