Showcase an Original PSA

spotlight stage

Using the power of words and imagery, learners in Lights, Camera, Action write, direct, and produce a one-minute public service announcement! Learners will use their “voice” to create a story that not only entertains but persuades. Important issues will be examined and expressed through writing and filmmaking.

By the end of class, learners will have created, produced, and filmed a PSA to showcase as part of Directing Change, a statewide program empowering youth through film. For middle school and high school learners to participate, they will have to meet class deadlines. Learners who don’t meet the deadlines can showcase their movie, but they will not have an opportunity to be part of Directing Change. So lend your light, pick up a camera, and take ACTION!
