Description
In this course learners will explore how young children develop language and literacy skills. As well as, how to support this as future educators, early childhood professionals and parents. Learners will build foundational knowledge of literacy and language development through research and meaningful hands-on/interactive explorations. Class participants will demonstrate their new knowledge of literacy and language development by participating in a project based exploration in which each learner will apply for a mock grant to support a literacy project that they have personally designed.
