Semester A of this course is an advanced High School Theatre course focusing on the study of acting and the tools to become a transformational actor. This course will allow you to analyze, observe, and dissect the elements of acting by studying the great acting teachers, observing Theatre in your own life, and how to apply it to written text. You will use what you have learned throughout the course to create a final project showing your developed understanding of acting throughout the class. This course is a pre-requisite to part B
Semester B of this course is an advanced High School Theatre course focusing on the study of transformational actors through Theatre and Film. This course will allow you to analyze, observe, and dissect the elements of becoming a transformational actor. In addition, you will create your own 30 minute warm up to use prior to an audition/performance, using elements of yoga, breathing gym, articulation exercises, and vocal warmups. Using your analysis of the studied transformational actors and actors warmup, you will record your 30 minute warm up with step by step instructions, and will perform two contrasting monologues to show your understanding of the elements of transformational acting.
