Description

The Sports Medicine Capstone course allows students to apply knowledge and skills developed in Sports Medicine to real-world athletic and healthcare settings. This course focuses on injury prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and performance, while strengthening students’ understanding of anatomy, physiology, and human movement.

Students choose from one of three pathway options each semester: participating in an internship, completing a research project, or earning industry-recognized certifications. This flexible approach enables students to explore multiple aspects of sports medicine and align their experiences with their personal interests and career goals.

Through these experiences, students will build technical skills, critical thinking, professionalism, and effective communication. The course emphasizes real-world application, ethical practices, and career readiness, culminating in a portfolio that showcases student learning and preparation for future opportunities in sports medicine and related fields.
