Description

***This course is not available for the Track C July/August learning period.***

Entrepreneurship introduces learners to the key skills needed to start a successful business. We begin with idea generation, and then move through key start-up concepts like feasibility assessment and marketing. Learners then move into understanding  management, risk assessment and legal structure. We will also use learners’ real world business ideas to talk about customer service and business etiquette. This course covers the basics behind important economic principles within the framework of real business practices and encourages learners to develop valuable problem solving and leadership skills.

The second semester of Entrepreneurship takes a deep dive into what it means to be an innovator in today’s world through looking at businesses and leaders who are already doing just that. We will use case studies and real business models to examine strategies for finding problems worth solving and mobilizing resources to solve them.
