This Memorial Weekend the city of Garden Grove will host its 60th annual Garden Grove Strawberry Festival. The funds raised go to help the community. Last year they were able to donate $394,000 to nonprofit organizations, local scholarship funds, and to school bands needing funding for transportation.
The weekend will kick off with a giant strawberry cake cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday. Over 2,000 guests are expected to enjoy a free slice of cake. Weekend activities include a 5K run, parade, cute baby contest, and a celebrity breakfast. For a complete list of the planned activities visit http://strawberryfestival.org/current-event-schedule/
