After reading the novel The Lord of the Flies, learners were asked to choose from six possible projects for the culminating essay. In this course, the learners have multiple options for their end-of-novel-projects, including essays, newspaper articles, and multimedia presentations. One of the options was to research a topic related to the novel (WWII, airplane crashes, etc) and write a research essay or create a multimedia presentation on the topic.
