Description
This course introduces learners to a range of stories about and by women. Spanning different parts of the world, the authors come from varying cultures and, as a result, gift the reader with a variety of lenses through which to view the world. While all of the stories are fiction, they range in genre, including tales of both horror and “love,” and magical realism! Some of our narrators are reliable while others are not; some are told from an omniscient point of view while others are limited. Some of these stories have been included in traditional literary canons for decades but others are newer. What all of these stories have in common, however, is a rich voice that shares a compelling story, diverse in theme and honoring the gifts of the women writers who penned them.
