It’s a pirate’s life for us as we join young Jim Hawkins on the greatest sea adventure of all time in Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic tale, Treasure Island. As Jim travels the South Seas in search of a pirate’s treasure, we will also go on a journey. In this class, we’ll uncover story elements of plot, character and setting; we’ll discover a whole new vocabulary (and create a bit of our own); we’ll dig into the rich themes that have made Treasure Island a book to stand the test of time.
