Description
***This course is not available for the Track C July/August learning period.***
Thinking back to my own middle school years, playing The Oregon Trail was a highlight that I still remember today. While it was so fun to play and learn about the hardships that the travelers faced trying to make it from the east to the west, there is so much more history that needs to be told! Native Americans lived on that land. While playing Oregon Trail, you will encounter some tribes for trading goods, but their history is important to learn about, too. In this course, we will gain a better understanding of Native American history during the time when settlers were making their way from the east to west in the United States, while also learning about the hardships of the pioneers’ cross country journey!
