Whether you’re an aspiring filmmaker or movie mogul, a YouTube blogger, or just enjoy beating everyone at Trivia Pursuit, Movie Magic: The History of Cinema will provide the foundation you need to be competitively film literate in any setting. In part A you will learn about the fundamental differences between “live action”, “animation”, “documentary” and “Independent” cinema, by studying such classics as Mary Poppins, Inside Out and Avengers: Endgame. In part B you will take a deeper dive into film history, exploring the 13 most popular film genres in our culture and, ultimately, learn how these traditional genres can be combined to create a brand new, unique film that could be the next Oscar winner.
