Description
***This course is not available for the Track C July/August learning period.***
This intermediate course is designed to help learners increase their knowledge of the language and cultures of the French-speaking world. Learners will further develop basic proficiency in the four modalities of language learning: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. There continues to be a strong emphasis on vocabulary acquisition and verb conjugation at this level. Learners will engage with the language through the use of interactive learning games, listening to podcasts, and creating their own sentences from scratch. They will create projects as well as record themselves speaking French.
Learners will have the extra credit option of being immersed in French through watching the series “Extra!” as they are exposed to grammar and vocabulary in the context of the episodes. To enrich their learning, learners can choose to watch the episodes, study using Quizlet and take quizzes to assess their comprehension.
