Digital Illustration (2 semesters)

Meets UC/CSU Fine Art requirement.
This course will provide an introduction to the basics of illustration. You will learn how to use digital tools to create artwork and apply the elements of art, principles of design and principles of animation.
The projects will mostly have directions for using the free website, Pixlr E and can be drawn with a mouse. If you have your own iPad or tablet, or have access to Photoshop or another digital drawing program that you prefer using instead of Pixlr E, then you are welcome to use it instead. For some drawings late in the semester it is recommended that you use a tablet but if you do not have access to one then you may draw them by hand with fine art media instead.
