Description
Learners explore the fundamental principles of Chemistry which characterize the properties of matter and how it reacts. Honors Chemistry takes a deeper dive into the mathematical analysis of molecules and their behaviors while making real-world connections. Simulations and laboratory techniques are used to organize and analyze both qualitative and quantitative data. Simulations are also used to reinforce the content covered throughout the course. Topics include, but are not limited to measurement, atomic structure, chemical bonds, the periodic table, gas laws, properties of solids & liquids, solutions, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, and nuclear chemistry.
Approved UC “d” credit lab course
