Coach’s Corner
Thank you, families, for your continued time and effort in meeting with us each learning period. We really enjoy our time connecting with you and making sure that we are all working as a team toward the same goals. Spring is a busy time as we prepare to wrap up the school year and look forward to what’s next!
State Testing Coming Soon: As a public charter school, we follow state testing practices. Please be on the lookout for an email with specific information on your testing options this year and click HERE for some preliminary details. We’ve worked hard to provide you with multiple days, times, and locations to test. We understand that coming to a physical location for testing can be difficult, and we appreciate your time and effort in doing so. Having a high number of learner tests ensures that we continue to receive state funding to operate, as well as gives us valuable information to help our program grow and improve. We also know that test scores are only 1 indicator of learner growth and success. We take a holistic approach to how we view and educate children.
Seniors! Many of you are receiving college letters and are planning for the next steps after high school. We love hearing your successes and plans, so please keep sharing the good news, the updates, and how we can help support your transition. Remember you have the option to participate in SCVi’s prom, grad night, and graduation ceremony. Please contact your coach ASAP if you don’t already have details. We need your RSVP for these things sooner than later.
Congrats to our senior, Eden, who has already received college acceptance letters from the following schools: University of Arizona, University of Denver, University of Oregon, UC Santa Cruz, Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Los Angeles, and San Jose State! This is an amazing accomplishment. We are so so proud of all the work you have done to get to this point!
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Coach any time you have a question, need a change, or need some support. We are here for your success!
