Tips and Inspiration: Beach Cleanup
“The seas are rising, and so are we.” —Surfrider Foundation
Learners and their families can be part of a national effort to clean up our beaches and restore them to their natural beauty and health. The Surfrider Foundation is fueled by volunteers who take action to create environmental change. It’s easy to spend a little time volunteering, but of course, we want you to be safe and follow the protocols. In addition to safety, Surfrider requests that you report your collection information so they can add it to their database.
These links will provide the information needed to get started.
- Prepare for and conduct your beach cleanup.
- Report your findings. Download the data card here.
- When the card is completed, be an official change-maker by entering your data here.
- Learners who are inspired to do more may wish to start or become part of a learner club. Information is available here.
