The Last Bookstore is a two-story treasure trove of over 250,000 used and new books! The 22,000-square-foot store includes a Victorian drawing room, sci-fi touches, and a loft. Owner Chad Howitt is doing what he loves; he is working with books and trying to keep paper books viable in the age of e-readers and digital downloads. He has managed to establish one of the largest, independent bookstores in the world. This is an unusual path for a young dad, but he is a man with an interesting story. Check out this 11-minute, award winning documentary featuring Chad and the story behind The Last Bookstore.

You can visit the Last Bookstore at Spring Arts Tower on 5th & Spring. Their tag line is, “What are you waiting for? We won’t be here forever,” so don’t wait too long!
