Revving to Go Check Out Some Automobiles?
The Peterson Museum has been in existence since 1994 when it was housed in the Natural History Museum. It is now permanently housed in a historic building that was once a department store. Robert and Margie Peterson selected the store location because it contained few windows, so cars and other artifacts could be displayed without much exposure to sunlight.
The museum has several exhibits and presents the history of the automobile and its impact on American culture. Current exhibits include The Porsche Effect, Sidewalk Speedsters: The Grown-Up World of Children’s Cars, Alternative Power, and many more.
