Course Facilitator Spotlight: Eileen McGann
I am the daughter of two teachers from opposite ends of the spectrum. My mother was a kindergarten teacher and my father taught high school and community college math. I followed in my father’s footsteps and have been teaching high school and community college mathematics for over 10 years. From arithmetic to advanced calculus and statistics, I have taught it all. I love what I do. When the “light bulb” goes on for learners, it brings joy to my heart. I have two children — ages 4 and 7. They keep me on my toes. Thankfully, they love being outdoors and inventing new games. You will often find us building a new “fort” or doing some science experiment in the kitchen. I love the idea of project based learning in the classroom and at home.
