Course Facilitator Spotlight: Laureen Agee

Psychology, Sociology

I bring many years of teaching experience at all grade levels along with a passion for creating exciting learning situations to my teaching and classes. With a background in elementary, middle, high school, adult and alternative learning classes, my philosophy includes helping learners connect with what is relevant and important within the learner’s life in order to support achievement.

I believe that my effective teaching and connecting with learners help everyone be successful and achieve goals, and I mean everyone. I believe that with a bit of work, everyone can progress.

My extensive training includes both a classroom credential as well as an education specialist credential, all of which support utilizing a wide variety of instructional methods to meet individual learner’s needs. On a personal level, I love the outdoors, gardening, reading, family time, history, and volunteering in various organizations. I love getting to know my students on a personal level, so that we can connect and learn in a way that relates to each individual. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of my students this year.
