Body Worlds and the California Science Center

NOTE: Some learners might find this absolutely fascinating, but others may find it ‘gross’. These are real bodies…

THE SCOOP:

It’s the West Coast debut of the amazing show about the intricacies of the human body. This special exhibition presents the body in health and distress, its vulnerabilities and potential, and many of the challenges the human body faces as it navigates the 21st Century. More than 200 plastinated specimens — including whole bodies, body configurations, translucent slices, and organs – are curated and presented in galleries that feature the various systems of the body.  This show is not for all kids – some young scientists will be fascinated, other sensitive types will find this upsetting or “gross.” Please read the family guide before deciding if this is right for your kids!
