Wanted: Teen Poet Laureate: Apply by November 30

The California Arts Council, the state’s arts agency, has announced the open call for applications from young creative writers to serve as California’s first-ever Teen Poet Laureate. This new and prestigious position is open to all teenaged poets ages 13-19 residing in California.
The two-year term includes a $10,000 stipend. Interested teens shouldn’t miss this chance to become a part of California’s literary history and inspire others through poetry. The deadline to apply is November 30, 2025.
