Description
In this course, we will sample a few of the critically acclaimed stories written by women. Some of these stories are scary, or uncomfortable, and some deal with gender expectations/roles. Some of the stories’ characters struggle with assimilation, or identity within one’s family, or culture. This is by No means intended to be an exhausted resource guide; rather, this is a space to be introduced to amazing female writers and is only a jumping point.
Throughout this course, you will build critical reading, thinking, and writing skills at the same time we study the transformative power of stories. The ultimate goal is TO LEARN A LOT and HAVE FUN!
