Tips and Inspiration: Celebrate Women’s History Month
March is Women’s History Month, a time to reflect on the contributions women have made to our country. We wanted to share the following virtual learning opportunities with your family.
March 11, 2:00-3:00 PM: The National Portrait Gallery gathers Smithsonian colleagues to discuss historical objects and how activists Sojourner Truth, Sylvia Rivera, and pilot Bessie Coleman displayed leadership roles to change our history.
March 31, 10:00-11:00 AM: San Diego State University and their Global Campus Digital Skills Bootcamp are hosting a virtual event: Wonder Women: Celebrating Women in Tech. The event is free and open to the public. Register online and a link will be shared with you.
Anytime: Votes for Women: A Visual History is an online exhibit at the Brandywine River Museum examines the suffrage movement and how it developed.
