UCLA’s Meteorite Gallery Rocks!

WHERE: Westwood, UCLA Meteorite Gallery, 595 Charles Young Drive East, Los Angeles, Ca

AGES: All Ages

From the Gallery’s Website: Opened in January 2014, the gallery is open to the public weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. when it is staffed with volunteer docents. Admission is always free. The current exhibits will gradually expand as funds and additional samples are obtained. The UCLA Meteorite Collection has been assembled by cosmochemist John Wasson and Alan Rubin and their colleagues at UCLA. There are more than 1500 meteorites in the collection. About 100 of these are exhibited in the meteorite gallery.
