Do you love a good ghost story? Maybe you’re addicted to suspense and mystery. If so, then this course is for you! We will use the short stories and poetry of Edgar Allan Poe to learn about where all those dark and mysterious plot elements you love come from. Students will also develop critical thinking, writing and analytical skills. We will explore elements of the plot and practice creating an argument supported with evidence. We will also be doing some research on Poe and the time he lived, and as part of that research, students will learn how to evaluate sources and extract important information.
