In this quarter you will revisit some old familiar concepts, and continue fine-tuning your understanding of them, such as percents and their applications with money. Then you will switch gears and move into geometry topics, including special angles, triangles and quadrilaterals, and scale drawings. Through the first six weeks of the quarter, you will complete assignments (drills), activities (real-world applications), and class discussions. In the last week, you will work on your final project, in which you will create a scaled-up drawing after anything you like. The main goals of this quarter are working with parts and wholes and an introduction to geometry.
