***This course is not available for the Track C July/August learning period.***

In this course, learners will be looking into the roles archaeology and anthropology play in unveiling early man and ancient civilizations. Archaeologists typically use photographs, writings, and any other form of documentation in order to learn about the past. They use that knowledge to trace excavation sites and their importance within a culture. Through the eyes of archaeologists, learners will investigate how we are able to tell what happened the past (early man and ancient civilizations) through archaeology, anthropology and paleontology. They will also learn about the role deductive reasoning and inferencing have within studying history.
