In this series of four 8-week courses, learners will be introduced to the basics of French. The goal is for learners to gain confidence and to begin to understand the basics of French grammar and sentence structure along with vocabulary for everyday conversation. Through listening, reading, writing, and speaking practice, learners will strengthen their French skills to prepare for French courses at the high school level. Learners are assessed using a variety of formats such as quizzes, discussion questions, projects and more. Continuous effort to use the target language is essential.
Learners should complete the series in order starting with A, then moving on to B, C and D.
French Middle School A: The Self – learners are able to communicate basic information about themselves including their name, age, birthday and favorite things.
