Description

Semester A: This course is the first semester of a full year of Algebra 2. This class serves as an extension of Algebra 1 and Geometry and focuses on algebraic functions and their applications. A major theme is the generalization of concepts and techniques from Algebra 1 and Geometry. In this semester, students will cover functions and polynomials, equations and inequalities, factoring and quadratics, along with radical and complex numbers. This course serves as the first of a 2 semester course.

Semester B: This course is the second semester of a full year of Algebra 2. This class serves as an extension of Algebra 1 and Geometry and focuses on algebraic functions and their applications. A major theme is the generalization of concepts and techniques from Algebra 1 and Geometry. In this semester, students will cover solving quadratic functions, exponents, logs, trigonometric functions, trigonometric identities and introductory statistics. This course serves as the second of a 2 semester course.

Prerequisites: Honors Algebra 1 A & 1B+ Honors Geometry A & B
