iLEAD Online Learner Spotlight: Naya Farrell Takes Center Stage!

Meet Naya F., a 10th grader at iLEAD Online who is proving that you can master the art of ballet while staying “en pointe” with your education! Since joining iLEAD Online this year, Naya has been utilizing our flexible schedule to balance her demanding rehearsal rounds with her academic goals. Read on to learn more about how this creative learner makes the most of every day.

Why did you choose to enroll at iLEAD Online?

I chose to enroll at iLEAD Online because I heard it was a great online school that would be a good fit and accommodating to my dance needs.

What are you passionate about, and how does iLEAD Online help you pursue your passions?

I’m really passionate about ballet, and iLEAD Online helps a lot because it’s flexible and accommodating. The online format allows me to balance my schoolwork with ballet classes and rehearsals while still staying on track academically.

What is your best memory of your time at iLEAD Online so far?

The best memory I’ve had with iLEAD online so far is coming home from long days of dance and not having to stress about due dates, because the flexibility makes everything feel manageable.

Who is a strong iLEAD Online influence and why?

The teachers and faculty are strong influences because they’re very supportive and understanding. They’re always willing to help and make school feel less stressful, which has made a big difference for me.

What are some of the events you enjoy at iLEAD Online?

Since it’s my first year, I haven’t explored many events yet, but I’m looking forward to getting more involved as the year goes on.

Can you name a favorite project you’ve worked on at iLEAD Online? What made it memorable?

One of my favorite projects I’ve done at iLEAD Online was a Chemistry project on Ionic & Covalent Bonds. It was memorable to me because it allowed me to be have fun and be creative with my art skills but also helped me better understand the topic.

Who at iLEAD Online would you like to give a shoutout to? Who has helped you and how?

My advisor/Academic Coach Jeanette Weiss is super helpful and always available when I need assistance.

Please name three fun facts about you.

1. I have one older brother.
2. I love watching old rom-coms, especially classic ones.
3. I enjoy painting and watercolors.
